I was surprised by the apparent quality of material of this bag. I haven't had a chance to put it through its paces yet, but the material used seems quite sturdy and it easily held my food for the whole week and would have held even more. I'll try to remember to give an update after our 5 day/6 night excursion on the Appalachian Trail after it has been toted, opened, closed, hung, etc. for the week. However, upon first inspection, it is much better quality than I expected for the price.

I think I’m really going to like this! It’s got a good amount of space, seems very sturdy, and I love the convenience of the adjustable straps so you can carry it as a backpack.I just used this on a camping trip with 5 kids and 6 adults where there was no bear box and we had to hike in. We packed our non-perishable food in it overnight and had no uninvited visitors (I know because I am a ridiculously light sleeper when I camp).I can’t speak to the waterproofing abilities as I was not going to risk having to replace food if I tested it by tossing it in the lake, but for my needs it’s just right.

This is not the lightest dry sack. And that's ok. I worked as a guide for the summer and this was my go to bag for clothing. As a guide I need gear that is extremely reliable. Never once have I had an issue or concern with this dry sack. It is sturdy, and very waterproof. If you are very weight conscious, maybe go with another option, but for anyone else this is a low price, excellent option. Get this bag.

I will have to buy again; I took it to Havasupai where the clever squirrels will get into everything. I had offloaded my food from my pack in which I had carried it in this 10L dry sack into 5-gallon buckets which are everywhere down there for this purpose. The dry sack was suspended, empty, from a tree using paracord. The paracord, left by a previous camper, snapped, the sack ended up on the ground and chewed by squirrels. Until then it was perfect for its purpose. I purchased the 10L and would have found uses in my backpacking and camping endeavors, had it not been destroyed. You don't have to work hard to get air into it. It's easy to open and close. The fastenings are sturdy. There were four of us on my trip, two of us carrying food, each with one of these dry sacks. Although mine didn't survive the second one did and it will get used again. I will definitely purchase again. Just know it's not squirrel-proof.
