The mat works well and does not melt even if I touch the iron directly to it at 350 Celsius. Solder just rolls right off and is easy to clean. I’m using this for a portable soldering station and I’m definitely getting the larger version for my permanent soldering station. It has a really strong smell at first but it seems to be going away.

The mat is perfect for soldering over. I also used it to build Orlandoo models with very small pieces. The mat held the pieces so they would not get lost. For the money, you can’t beat it.

This thing is just awesome, solder doesnt stick to it, resin sticks a little but cleans up easy. Its insulative electrically and heat wise. The magnetic areas could use a bit more magnatism to hold things in place if you tend to use that feature. The holder bays and slots keep thing nice and tidy and keeps things from rolling off the workbench. It holds the circuit boards in place when when working on them. the light blue color makes it easy to see and find the small parts (SMDs)... like I said, You need one of these... go ahead, get it, you will be impressed.

I have always soldered on a surface at hand. A dusty board from the garage, a rock in the yard, my desk, the dining room table (until she objected to the burn marks). This silicone mat will both help me organize my solder work, and keep me out of trouble.

The edges are lined with all sorts of bins and holders for essentials. The silicone stands up to hot irons and captures solder spatters. It is large enough to give me a good workspace, and rolls up to go on a shelf easily. The silicone body is thick enough to last a long time. I am very pleased.

I do a lot of work on iPhones and wanted something with magnets and compartments instead of just a standard antistatic mat. Silicone is just an awesome material, and this mat will undoubtedly last my entire life. The reference marks, tool holders, and storage compartments on this thing are well placed and nicely sized, and the magnets are pretty strong.

I don’t think I will ever lose another screw.
